Ronan Montfort used to be the kind of person who would pinch a PokerStars patch and stick it on his laptop as he sat among the media in the EPT press room. But these days, the patches are stuck firmly to Montfort's arm as he continues his effortless transition to the family of full-time players.
Montfort is a member of Team PokerStars Online, playing on the French network, and yesterday played his way through Day 1A of EPT Sanremo. He finished the day with 30,900 chips, marginally more than his starting stack, and here he talks through a hand that kept him afloat early in the day.
He had a tight image, some very good players at his table (including Sam Chartier) and picks up pocket fours in the big blind, with two players in the pot ahead of him. Montfort takes us through his thought process.
