As we've mentioned before, poker is expanding throughout Asia. The fields, prize pools, buy-ins and even amount of tours have steadily been growing over the years.

A few weeks ago, PokerStars announced that they were going to start sponsoring the China Series of Poker (CSOP). Now, the people over at PokerStar LIVE have announced another momentous development in Asian poker.

They're going to have a high roller. A big one.

Along with Guangdong Group Macau, PokerStars has announced the GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions' (GDAM) tournament. This tournament will run from June 4-7 and will feature a HK $1,000,000 buy-in.

Players will also be allowed to re-buy two times and tournament staff is already expecting more than 100 players. With no buy-ins, this would be an expected prize pool of about $12.5 million dollars, good for the top 10 prize pools outside the WSOP.

On tap of that, PokerStars will be providing satellites for as low as $530 on PokerStars. Lynn GIlmartin and PokerStars.TV caught up with Danny McDonagh for a bit more information.
